Inclusion by design, not by fixing

Inclusion by design, not by fixing

Why are we trying to fix #inclusion #socialjustice?

How about instead designing by inclusion?

Too often, inclusion is treated as a corrective action — something to “add on” once systems are already built.

But what if inclusion became the starting point of #design?

Take a moment to reflect on your role at work.

Where can you move from adapting people to systems…

to redesigning systems around people?

Because when we remove barriers — physical, cultural, cognitive — something powerful happens:

*New perspectives emerge

*Innovation accelerates

*Trust and belonging deepen

And yes — new #markets open

Inclusion is not only about #wellbeing (although that would already be enough) which would be a good enough reason!

It is also about #value creation, opportunity, and sustainable growth.

Designing by inclusion means:

-anticipating diversity, not reacting to it

-embedding accessibility from the start

-involving people in co-creation, not consultation

-shifting from compliance to leadership responsibility

This is a #leadership question.

Each of us holds a piece of the system we operate in.

Each of us can influence how inclusive — or exclusive — it becomes.

A truly sustainable economy and society will not be built by fixing what excludes.

It will be built by imagining and designing differently from the beginning.

So here’s the question:

What would become possible if inclusion was your default #setting?
